The excitement for the upcoming ICC World Test Championship final (WTC) has reached sky-high with experts, former cricketers and fans supporting their favorite team among India and New Zealand. The marquee clash is set to begin on June 18 in Southampton. Indian team members who are under strict quarantine in Mumbai are sweating it out training indoors before they depart to the UK on 2nd June.
Recently Mayank Agarwal shared a picture on his social media starting on how excited he is for the summit clash. After Agarwal, it is the turn of talismanic allrounder Ravindra Jadeja, who shared a picture on Saturday, May 29, revealing a team’s kit for the WTC finals.
Jadeja could not control his excitement after wearing the sweater and captioned it by saying “Rewind to 90’s T-shirt #lovingit #india” Jadeja wrote alongside a picture of him wearing the retro sweater sporting logos of the ICC World Test Championship and BCCI.
As soon as the 31-year-old allrounder posted it on Twitter, the post went viral and former India player Wasim Jaffer came up with a cheeky reply approving the jersey in true ‘Jhakas’ style.
“Maska hai maska Ek dum Jhakas!” said the tweet from Jaffer which loosely translates to “It’s like butter, outstanding.”

Jadeja looking ahead to the WTC final and England Test series
Jadeja was last seen in the Indian Premier League (IPL) representing Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He was certainly the team’s X-factor player as he was brilliant in all three departments of the game. He singlehandedly sank Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) blazing his way to an unbeaten 62 and scalping three wickets.
Now, Jadeja will shift his focus to the WTC final and the subsequent five-match Test series against England. He is, without doubt, India’s key player in the upcoming matches and will look to change the complexion of the match with his allround skills. The venue for the finals between India and New Zealand, the Ageas Bowl in Southampton, generally offers help to spinners, and Jadeja will look to exploit that along with his spin partner Ravi Ashwin.
