Watch: AB de Villiers' son the star attraction at Chinnaswamy

While AB de Villiers is busy with his franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League, his son Abraham who is currently in India with his father is also making headlines and winning hearts of plenty. Recently a video has surfaced on the internet where the little kid is seen wielding a plastic bat and cheering for his father’s franchise.

The video shows the toddler running around the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and calling out RCB RCB. He displayed his batting skills with his plastic bat and played a flowing straight drive. He played with his father for a while before he took on the role of a spectator as he watched him from behind the nets.

De Villiers missed an opening couple of games due to a back problem but roared back to form with a sensational 46 balls 89 which included 3 fours and 9 gigantic sixes over the fence. He never looked like being out of cricketing action and there was no rustiness evident from his batting. He literally tormented the Punjab but his innings wasn’t enough to get them back to winning ways.

Till now, RCB has won only 2 out of the 6 matches and needs to get their act right on a consistent basis if they harbour any hope of qualifying for the playoffs. They finally came back to winning ways in their previous encounter against Gujarat Lions and looks set to make a turnaround just like the previous year. Meanwhile, RCB has been pegged with injuries even before the tournament started.

Captain Virat Kohli who injured his right shoulder during the 3rd Test against Australia missed the first 3 games of the tournament, while KL Rahul was ruled out from the whole tournament due to an injury which he sustained during the Test series. He went to London and underwent a successful operation and came back to watch his team’s match at the Chinnaswamy.
