Mitchell Starc is currently the best left arm fast bowler in the cricketing world. The New South Wales cricketer is a raging beast when in full flow. It’s simply tough to negotiate his 145+ kph rockets which he fires from the bowler’s end.

Starc was earmarked for success and was regarded as the natural successor to another fast bowling demon Mitchell Johnson post his retirement. It took him a lot of polishing to become the pace merchant he is today. Initially considered as fragile, Starc worked his way to the top and is now considered as the most fearsome fast bowler in the world.

Standing at close to 2 metres tall, he is quite terrifying to face. On pace conducive pitches he can be at times be completely unplayable with the kind of bounce he can extract. Over the years he has developed all the necessary skills required for a fast bowler to a leader. He can swing the ball in and out with the new ball and can come back with the old ball and generate enough reverse swing to curb the batsmen from hitting the big ones in the death overs. It’s always a treat to watch him ball.
