Over the years we have seen a lot of similar incidents happening in Indian cricket. Mostly, cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and even Rohit Sharma have witnessed such events. In India, cricketers are treated like stars and hence such showering of affection is quite usual. The same trend has also been seen quite often in football with crazy fans hijacking the game for a few moments.
Match Proceedings of the Andhra vs Delhi clash
Meanwhile, Delhi were off to a scintillating start. Andhra Pradesh batted first and put up 390 runs on the board, with Ricky Bhui scoring a magnificent 187. The other batsmen failed to put up any kind of decent performance. Right arm pacer Subodh Bhati picked up a five-wicket haul.
As for Delhi, they were off to a splendid start. Openers Gautam Gambhir and Hiten Dalal both put up a 108-run opening stand. While Hiten was dismissed for 58, Gambhir was joined by skipper Dhruv Shorey at the crease. At stumps on Day 2, Delhi were comfortably placed at 190/1 with Gambhir batting on 92.
