Zafar Ansari may be making his debut against Bangladesh today, yet, that did not stop him from naming his best XI for the Lord’s Cricket Ground TV. The latter has been doing these videos for a long time and has now targeted Ansari, who is expected to be a massive part of the England side for the upcoming tours as well.

Apart from bowling his off-spin, the Katter has named a few interesting figures as a part of his dream XI. To being with, the opening batsmen include Chris Gayle and Marcus Trescothick. The left-handed opening partnership has impressed Ansari as he stated that he has not really seen anyone hit the ball out of the ground as far as he did.

Hashim Amla, who played alongside Ansari in the LV County championship  on a few occasions also finds himself as a prominent part of the side while teammate James Hildreth also is a part of the batting order. To fill the role of the all-rounder, Zafar Ansari has picked Sir Garry Sobers to fill the role with the latter holding most of the records until it was broken by Jacques Kallis.

Akbar Ansari, a part-time leg-spinner, and Zafar’s brother also makes it into the side. Pakistan duo Wasim Akram and Yasir Arafat also find their way into the side given their impressive and explosive cricketing acumen. Steven Davies and Tim Linley, more teammates from his Surrey side find themselves in his side. To fill in the role of the spinner, Zafar Ansari has opted to go ahead with Indian left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha.

While the southpaw has modeled his action on Ojha, it would seem clear that this addition is a surprising one, to say the least.

Zafar Ansari’s All-time XI: Chris Gayle, Marcus Trescothick (c), Hashim Amla, James Hildreth, Gary Sobers, Steven Davies (wk), Akbar Ansari, Wasim Akram, Yasir Arafat, Tim Linley, Pragyan Ojha.
