In the Maharashtra derby match on Maharashtra day between the Rising Pune Supergiants and Mumbai Indians. Rohit Sharma asked MS Dhoni & Co. to bat first, things didn’t go Pune’s way to start with as they lost Ajinkya Rahane for 4 runs in the second over. Steve Smith and Saurabh Tiwary batter well thereafter to build the momentum in their favor but after Smith got out MI pulled things back, though, Tiwary was there. The Jharkhand batsman hit a ball from Harbhajan Singh for a boundary as Ambati Rayudu put in an unsuccessful attempt on the field which didn’t please the bowler.

Rayudu who was fielding at deep mid-wicket ran to cover the ball and when he noticed it was running to the fence before he could reach there, put in a full length dive. He got his hand to the ball and it struck his hand and the ball bumped into his hand and went for a four beating Mitchell McClenaghan who also reached the spot from long-on. One could see Harbhajan fuming and hurling a few abuses as it added another four runs to his tally, the fielder after putting in such an effort was angry with the response he got from Bhajji.

Both the players exchanged a few heated words and then charged towards each other. It definitely reminded everyone watching of the Harbhajan-Sreesanth incident. While the distance between the two helped them calm down and the veteran offie reacted maturely to rather try and cool Rayudu down. He was still visibly angry at him and walked back without giving an ear to what Bhajji had to say. Though later in the inning we saw both the players hug each other and it looked like the matter was settled between them.
