Watch: KL Rahul answers a barrage of rapid fire questions in an interview

Indian opener KL Rahul is at the top of his cricket at the moment. He had a great start to the season with the IPL where he was almost the star with the bat for his team Royal Challengers Bangalore since we consider Virat Kohli to be at an altogether different level. He translated that while making his ODI debut against Zimbabwe on the tour and hit his maiden ton as well.

Following the tour, he was named in the Indian Test squad for the West Indies tour. Though he wasn’t a part of the first XI that started in the 1st Test but an injury to regular opener Murali Vijay gave him an opportunity to take field and he made it count once again. He scored his 3rd Test ton and the first in the West Indies on his very first appearance in the country and made it bigger by getting to his first 150+ score in Tests.

He was caught up by the BCCI reporter following the knock for a special rapid fire interview and here is what he was asked and his answers.

What does he like about the Caribbean?

– The beaches, the scenery here is beautiful. You have the mountains on one side, you have the beach on the other side. So I love that about the Caribbean.

Favorite gadget?

– My phone

Favorite mobile app?

– It has to be a music app. I love my music; I have a lot of different music apps to listen to new music.

Favorite ground?

– The Chinnaswamy. I have grown up there and the first time I entered the stadium as a kid I was nine or ten years old and ever since have fallen in love with the stadium.

Favorite moment?

– When I got my Test cap from MS Dhoni at the MCG on the Boxing Day Test match. It was something I always dreamt of playing for the country, to get your Test cap on such a big occasion, Boxing Day is always big.

Naughtiest teammate?

– Shikhar Dhawan

Shopaholics?

– Virat and me. We are always willing to go and buy new things, we like to go shopping and look for local stuff that is around.

Best haircut?

– Umm.. Me. Shikhar has got a very fancy hairstyle now. Virat helped him get a fancy new hairstyle. If you get time to see it you should see it, it’s very new and I love his hairstyle.
