Watch: MS Dhoni executes a wonderful save behind the stumps

MS Dhoni is the master of unorthodoxy. Be it his batting style, his captaincy or his wicket-keeping, every aspect of his game has the dash of unorthodox approach.

Dhoni displayed his sharp presence of mind on the field after he yet again executed a wonderful save using his foot during his side’s clash against RCB at the MCA Stadium, Pune. Virat Kohli was facing Ravichandran Ashwin in the 8th over of the match. Kohli tried to be cheeky and played a late cut with an intention of guiding the ball to the third man.

However, the ball could now not go past the marvelous wicket-keeper standing behind Kohli as Dhoni extended his right leg to block the ball. It was an excellent thinking from the skipper.

Kohli was almost off for a single but quickly made it into the crease before Dhoni could take advantage. This incident was similar to the one which occurred few days ago. MS Dhoni did a similar act which resulted in a more delightful result.

Jus few days ago, during the Kings XI Punjab game at the Mohali, he showcased an outstanding example of his presence of mind on the field. Manan Vohra also played a similar intentional cut shot. Vohra immediately took off for a single without being able to realize that Dhoni had stopped the ball.

Apart from this wonderful save, there was not much to cheer for Mahi’s side as Kohli, along with AB de Villiers went berserk, helping Royal Challengers Bangalore post 185 runs at the end of 20 overs
