Not many batsman in test cricket had hit 3 or more sixes in consequtive balls. If we go by the records, there are only ten cricketers who had hit 3 or more sixes of consequtive balls. Shahid Afridi and Kapil Dev are the only batsman who had hit 4 sixes of 4 balls in test cricket. Kapil Dev hit EE hemmings in the Lord’s test in 1990 when India needed 24 runs to avoid follow on with one wicket left. Shahid Afridi hit Harbhajan Singh for 4 sixes of consequtive balls in Lahore in 2006.

Dhoni might not have been much successful in his test carrer but he did hit a hat-trick of sixes in test cricket. He is the only batsman from India after Kapil Dev to do so. Dhoni is known for hitting big and amazing sixes but hitting 3 in 3 is an incredible achievement. He did this against West Indies in 2006 Antigua test. Dave Mohammad was taken to cleaners by Dhoni and two of the sixes were huge helicopter shots. One of the six went out of the ground. Brian Lara, West Indies captain at that time was clueless against the batting of Dhoni. The test finally ended in a draw.
