Watch: Nargis Fakhri sends good wishes to Peshawar Zalmi ahead of their eliminator tie

Pakistan Super League (PSL) has emerged as one of the most popular T20 tournaments in the last two years and involvement of many top notch players in the tournament has raised the bar of the tournament. Among all the 5 teams in the tournament, Peshawar Zalmi remains the most favourite teams among the fans and supporters thus enjoying a huge global support. Bollywood actor Nargis Fakhri too turned out to be a fan of the Peshawar Zalmi.

Taking on her facebook handle she posted a video where she is seen wishing the PSL franchise and their team owner Javed Afridi. “I just want to wish my favourite team Peshawar Zalmi all the best, and special wishes to my friend Javed Afridi from Peshawar Zalmi team Peshawar Zalmi let’s rock,” Fakhri said in a Facebook post today.

Despite losing a nail-biting thriller against the Quetta Gladiators in the 1st Playoff of the tournament, Zalmi still remains in the hunt for the title as they are now scheduled to meet Karachi Kings in the eliminator on Friday.

In yesterday’s clash between Karachi Kings and the Islamabad United in the 2nd playoff, the defending champions Islamabad United lost the encounter by 44 runs. Peshawar Zalmi finished the group stage at the top of the table with 4 wins from 8 matches and Quetta Gladiators too won the identical number of matches but was behind in the net run rate. The other two teams qualifying for the playoffs were Karachi Kings and Islamabad United with 4 wins and 4 losses each.

Nargis Fakhri, on the other hand, is one of the leading ladies in the Bollywood circuit at the moment and also played the role of Sangeeta Bijlani in the cricketing biopic on former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin which hit the theatres in May last year. Though the movie didn’t make much success in the box office, but she was appreciated for her role.
