Pakistan lost to England in the third Test match after losing all ten wickets on the final day’s play at Edgbaston. This as has been well documented in the past, did not go down to well with the Pakistani public. However, another well-documented phenomenon is the fact that the finger is usually pointed at someone else.
In an ideal situation, this definitely would not happen. However, in the case of PTV Sports Anchor, Dr. Nauman Niaz, this particular ‘finger pointing’ incident cropped up. One can only assume that it was an attempt, however, futile as it was, to cover up the loss.
PTV Sports, a prominent Pakistani channel and it’s anchor Niaz made an attempt to analyze the match on national Television following the end of the day’s proceedings. Footage of England players rubbing the ball on their trousers or with their hands as well as the usage of saliva can also be seen in the same footage. However, Nauman Niaz raised a question of ball tampering by the England players as most of the world watched in awe.
A few Pakistani fans also went on to tweet some footage of James Anderson doing the same. The match has ended now but this issue of ball tampering is gaining momentum, especially amongst the Pakistani fans. As per the current status, match referee Richie Richardson has not reported about any such issue to the ICC but this thing may escalate in the next 24 hours.

England coasted to a win in the third Test at Edgbaston, thereby taking a 2-1 lead in the ongoing ENGvPAK series. Moreover, with one Test to go at the Oval, one certainly, raises the question about Pakistan’s ability to square the series.
