In spite of the fact that the Melbourne Renegades pulled off an incredible six-run win, it was Peter Nevill who was certainly not able to make the celebratory event at the time following a bruising to his left eye, something that also saw him unable to keep in the final over of the innings.
Instead, it was Aaron Finch, the skipper of the Melbourne Renegades who was handed the gloves. Finch would also go on to showcase to one and all that he was really not the best person to inherit the gloves after a missed stumping chance to trap Ish Sodhi out of his crease.
However, despite all of this, there was some solace in the fact that the Melbourne Renegades managed to secure a win following that fantastic start from Marcus Harris. The latter narrowly missed out on a century as he went ahead and slammed an audacious 85 before throwing his wicket away in somewhat of a terrible fashion.
A tweet regarding Nevill’s predicament read: “Peter Nevill straight down into the rooms with a cut under left eye. Was walking okay & chatting to Strikers doctor #BBL2016″

Nevill has also been axed from the Australian side in recent times following the resurgence of Matthew Wade. Nevill had been picked on the basis of his fine wicketkeeping skills. However, some adverse factors including the fact that his contribution with the bat was something that was not up to the mark, eventually saw him axed from the side.
Matthew Wade has made an amazing restart to his career with the bat. His century in the first ODI against Pakistan at Brisbane ensured that the Aussies went ahead and completed a win as well.
