We already have witnessed many spectacular catches in IPL 7. Be it Chris Lynn’s at deep midwicket or Starc running effort from fine leg all of those have been really great ones. But what we saw today from Pollard in game against Rajasthan Royals was undoubtedly the best of the lot. When Kevin Cooper hit Harbhajan towards Mid-on region he would have thought that he got six runs for his team. But he choose the wrong man, not the bowler, I meant the fielder.

Pollard first leaped high in air to catch the ball with a single hand. He comes on ground, loses his balance but just manages to throw the ball up with his one foot millimeters away from rope. Pollard goes over the rope and runs back in a few feets and completes the catch by diving forward. It was an absolute stunner. Pollard has made it a routine to take such catches with ease. He looks to me a geometrist with a super athletic body who gauges the boundaries to the perfection and uses his athleticism to deny batsmen their deserved runs. Hats off to the Caribbean.
