Watch: Pujara hits a rare six off Imran Tahir in the Final over of the day: The man from Saurashtra, The man everybody termed possibly as the next Dravid, is here to show why; After a steady patient innings, Pujara whacked Tahir to the fence. This was an excellently timed shot, he waited for it and it went straight over the ropes, hitting the sweet spot on his willow. Cheteshwar Pujara has scored a vital unbeaten 63 runs patiently facing 100 deliveries to reach his score. He along with Virat Kohli will look to capitalise from the initial phase.

The best part of this delivery was that when everybody expected that he would take a single and give the strike back to Virat Kohli for the last ball, Imran Tahir’s googly went wrong and he hit a brilliant pull shot to clear the ropes. This was just the first six of the match! It wasn’t ABD or Kohli who hit the first six but this young lad from Saurashtra.

And that’s not all, it was just the fourth six in his career! Believe it or not but Pujara probably never felt the necessity of risking his wicket for scoring a six. Dravid, who has scored a phenomenal 13,288 runs in Tests has just 21 sixes to his name so Pujara who comes one down is trying to fit in the boots of his idol Dravid. Pujara patiently drives and believes in standing on his ground and taking time in scoring his runs just like Dravid who believed in patience, not power and skills not show.

He has just played one Test match this year against the Sri Lankans where he scored a brilliant 145*.

Pujara, who also scored a vital 31 in the first innings of today’s match before falling to a beauty of Elgar. South Africa will look to scalp his wicket and create an early inroad in the India’s batting lineup.
