India A coach Rahul Dravid is in Australia with his boys. The young cricketers he loves to nurture and they are facing a grueling contest down under against hosts Australia A, South Africa A and the National Performance Squad. Though, they didn’t have a great start the Manish Pandey led team got things back on track and have qualified for the final against Australia.
Dravid is in Australia and must probably be preparing his boys for the big night of the final. But he took some time out of his schedule to wish the Thiruvalluu Veerans team and players all the best for the ongoing inaugural season of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL).
In the video, he said, “Here’s wishing the VB Thiruvalluu Veerans all the very best for the Tamil Nadu Premier League. Hope you guys have a great tournament and more importantly hope you enjoy. Have fun and all the very best.”
The Veerans team is unbeaten in the tournament thus far and have won two of the first two matches that they have played. Former India under-19 star player Baba Aparajith is the captain of the team but is also a part of the Duleep Trophy and thus Malolan Rangarajan is the stand-in skipper for the initial few games. At the moment the Veerans team is playing the third match against the Dindigul Dragons at Tirunelveli and aren’t in the best of positions.
