Watch: Rains can’t stop Darren Lehmann from completing the fielding drill
Australian coach Darren Lehmann is a disciplinarian, we all know. He has overseen the development of the team affairs with young skipper Steven Smith and his deputy David Warner. His methods of helming the team has helped the Aussies re-attain and maintain their stature as the world’s top Test team.
But, one does not take a team forward just by bloating the team with motivational words. Action is a must. And, coach Lehmann, who was awarded a two years contract extension just a day ago, put action before anything; even before bad weather and heavy rains.
Recently, heavy rain halted an ongoing practice session. But, ‘Boof’ was not ready to leave the ground before he completed his round of catches. The head coach, who was supposed to give catches slip catches to Shaun Marsh, completed his round and only then left the place. Marsh too was happy and finished the drill with a huge grin on his face.
The Australians had a bad start to their Sri Lankan sojourn after losing the first Test to the Lankans in a dramatic fashion. However past is now past and preparations are in full swing for the upcoming game in the coastal city of Galle.

The weather remains one of the main concerns for the visitors apart from the turning wicket which is expected to be laid out to welcome the Aussies. It has been raining quite persistently for the past few days at the venue.
