Watch: Sachin Tendulkar advises his fans to wear a helmet while riding a bike

Arguably the greatest batsman of all time, Sachin Tendulkar remains the biggest cricketing icon in the country despite retiring from international cricket back in 2013. He was undoubtedly the greatest ambassadors of the game during his 24 years career and was one of the well-conducted cricketers who was hardly involved in any controversies during an illustrious career.

Keeping his cricketing skills aside, Tendulkar is also considered one of the nicest cricketers off the field. He has a good peer relation with his colleagues and never responded to criticism with his words. His bat was always there to do the talking for Tendulkar. Even during his playing days, he was someone very much concerned about the precautionary measures preferring to wear a helmet even when a spinner was bowling.

Taking to his facebook handle Tendulkar shared a video where he is seen requesting tow of his fans to wear a helmet while riding a bike. Sachin who was travelling in his car when two of his fans came near his car and asked him for a selfie. Obliging to their request Tendulkar said that they must promise him to wear a helmet every time they ride a bike.

“Promise me something. Next time please where a helmet. It’s dangerous for you. Life is very precious,” Tendulkar said in the video. Tendulkar has always been a class apart and his conduct off the field has made him a through and through legend. Whatever Tendulkar has achieved for India, no one ever can and it was this man who inspired a whole generation to take up cricket. We are also fortunate enough to see Virat Kohli but we must thank Tendulkar for influencing him to take up cricket.

The “Little Master” holds the record for most runs and centuries in both Test and ODI cricket. He was an institution of batsmanship and cricket got poorer after his retirement on 18^th November 2013. Even in his farewell match against West Indies, Tendulkar showed some glimpses of his 24 years journey and made his way to a stroke-filled 74 before walking off the field for the very last time in his international cricketer.
