Watch: Tabraiz Shamsi does the ‘bus driver’ with KL Rahul
No Samuel Badree, no problem as far as the Royal Challengers Bangalore are concerned at least. 26-year old South African Chinaman Tabraiz Shamsi packed his bags and made his way to the Indian subcontinent to take part in the IPL following the news that Badree would be taking no further part in the IPL with the Challengers. However, while most of the players are making futile attempts to read Shamsi, the latter has brought out a swagger of his own.
Tabraiz Shamsi showed his swagger after picking up the vital wicket of Brendon McCullum by doing what has come to be known as the ‘Bus Driver’ celebration. It was the second ball of the ninth over — which Shamsi bowled a googly — that McCullum couldn’t pick and a leading edge was caught by the bowler himself. What made it funny was the kind of celebration that followed.

What was even more interesting to watch was the fact that he was joined by wicket-keeper batsman KL Rahul. This also became the first time that Shamsi performed the bus driver dance in the IPL. He had previously performed the dance in the Caribbean Premier League before performing the same on several occasions in South African domestic cricket.
However, despite a magnificent century from Virat Kohli and a decent performance from the irresistible Shamsi, the Gujarat Lions went on to clinch a very close encounter. Dinesh Karthik was the star of the show for the Lions with a virtuoso half-century with the bat.
