Watch: The most Acrobatic Fielding effort in BBL: Cricket is a demanding sport, it asks for a completely dedicated effort both physically and mentally. The players get consumed on the field for the commitment they show for ever run they try to save and every run out that they effect. The level of acrobatics that we see on the field now is parallel to none and one can certainly credit it to the evolution of T20 Leagues around the world.

We saw one of the most fascinating and marvellous run-outs and fielding efforts in the Big Bash League (BBL). The fielder threw himself into a dive to collect the ball, which of course saved the side invaluable runs.

The batsmen did not expect him to stop the ball and thus they were already committed into the run. Non-striker was at the danger end, but no body expected the fielder to first get hold of the ball, then throw it quick and accurate enough to hit the wickets.

To everyone’s surprise he grabbed the ball and into the motion of his dive also threw the ball at the wicket-keepers end. But there was no backing and the runner was no where in the frame of the stumps. The ball went bang on crashing into the stumps and the batsman caught well out of the return crease.

This is one of the best examples of commitment and presence of mind that we can get to see in cricket. Later into the video we also see a few foot work attempts, though not successful the foot work is a new attribute added to fielding and is a recent trend, every fielder especially bowlers and wicket-keepers who find it tough to get down in time use their feet to strike the ball on to the stumps.
