Watch: The teaser of Sachin A Billion dreams

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar released the teaser of his biopic Sachin A Billion dreams. After releasing a couple of posters in the last couple of days, the much awaited teaser is out today.

It starts with a young Sachin walking with his father and he says, “Mere baba mujhe humesha kehte the tumne zindagi me cricket ko chuna hai ye ek baat hai.. lekin akhir tak jo baat tumhare sath rahegi wo ye hai ki tum insaan kaise ho.” (My father always told me. You have chosen to play cricket, that is just one chapter of your life. But something that will stay permanently with you is the person that you are)

It further shows Sachin walking out to bat and the fans chanting ‘We want Sachin.. we want Sachin’. His biggest fan Sudhir Gautam also features in the video waving the Indian national flag painted with the tri-color like he does on each occasion the Indian team plays. There are glimpses of the practice session he would have with his coach Ramakant Achrekar where the coach would place a one rupee coin on the stumps and give it to Sachin at the end if he managed to bat unbeaten.

The film directed by James Erskine dwells into details of Sachin’s personal and professional life. His cricket, the 24 years he dedicated to Indian cricket and all that he did to rise to that level. The emphasis is not just on the game and what he achieved on the 22 yards but also on the values on which he has build his life and despite the name he has earned with his exploits as a cricketer, it’s his humility and kindness that has won over millions.
