Pakistan cricketer-turned-commentator Rameez Raja has named his all-time XI, which was published by the Lord’s cricket ground’s official YouTube channel. As always the selection was based on the fact that the player should have played with or against the cricketer or influenced him.
Two former Indian batsmen open the innings for him, “the greatest entertainer after Viv Richards,” Virender Sehwag and Sunil Gavaskar, who has over 10,000 runs against his name. He named the legendary Windies cricketer, Viv Richards is at No.3. “He is way ahead of his times and magnificent batsmen,” he said about Richards.
At no.4 and no.5 are the legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar and the legendary West Indies left-hander, Brian Lara. Former West Indies cricketer, Sir Garfield Sobers who is considered to be one of the better all-rounders the cricketing world has ever seen is next in the eleven.
Former Australian wicket-keeper, Adam Gilchrist who revolutionized the way wicket-keeping was perceived takes the gloves for his side. “Gilchrist could open the innings and also could bat lower down the middle-order,” he praised Gilly’s flexibility to bat at any position in the line-up.

Having played under Imran Khan for more than 10 years, he will lead Ramiz Raja’s eleven. Speaking about his pace bowling department, he has got Malcolm Marshall of West Indies and Glenn McGrath of Australia along with the skipper.
“The spinner is always the deadly Shane Warne,” who is undoubtedly one of the most successful spinners in the cricket history.
