The Indian team is in the Caribbean on their seven-week long, 4-Test tour of the West Indies. They are half way through and are leading the series 1-0. The Indian team is preparing for the upcoming 3rd Test at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia.

On the eve of the game skipper, Virat Kohli was asked if the team is following the ongoing Rio Olympics and which is his favorite event? Virat said, “Definitely, every evening as and when we get time we are catching up with the Olympics action.”

“I personally like swimming, diving, obviously track and field is everyone’s most favorite event. We were just discussing that the team will be traveling on the 14th and (Usain) Bolt is running on the 14th and we don’t want to miss it. So we were figuring out the timings to schedule our travel and a lot of them already had the timings with them and told us that by the time we land and reach the hotel we will make it just in time to watch the event.” He said about the excitement of watching Bolt in action.

“As athletes, we have keen interest, though we are not Olympics athletes but we are excited about it and this is a 15-day event and there is nothing bigger than the Olympic games so we are all very excited.”

Team India take on West Indies later tonight. While Virat Kohli & Co. would want to win the series here, the hosts will take a lot of confidence from their performance in the second Test which they were able to draw though with some significant help from the rain gods.
