Team India won their 250th Test match at home thrashing New Zealand by 178 runs in Kolkata. With that, they also took an inaccessible 2-0 lead in the 3-match series and became the numero uno ranked Test side.
After the win, Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli gifted former Indian cricketers Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan, commemorative silver coins of the 250th Test match.
The silver coins were gifted to Kohli by the Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) and the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) for leading the Indian Test side in their 250th Test match at home, which was also their 501st Test match.
The video of Kohli presenting the silver coins to the legendary duo was shared by the broadcaster, Star Sports through their official Twitter handle. The tweet reads, “Watch as captain @imVkohli presents a memento to @ImZaheer & @virendersehwag to commemorate the team’s 250th Test at home! #INDvNZ.”

“I have the memento from the Indian cricket team for the two legends of Indian cricket, they deserve it equally,” said Kohli while sharing some light moments with the cricketers.
Kohli showed a lot of respect to the duo and called Sehwag as ‘Bhayya’ (elder brother) in the video. Acknowledging the gesture from the Indian skipper, Zaheer and Sehwag thanked him and Indian cricket team.
Both Zaheer and Sehwag had huge contributions in the enrichment of Indian cricket along their long career. The duo was a part of the Indian team when they were crowned the No.1 ranked Test side for the first time.
