The ambitious Pakistan Super League (PSL) has received support from many international cricketers from around the world. It will feature leading T20 stars from around the world and would definitely be a sure-shot success in the cricket-mad country.
Just before a week or so, Yuvraj Singh recorded a special video message for Shahid Afridi and Peshawar team.

And, this time, it’s the Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli who has lent his voice in support of the PSL. In a press conference, Kohli wished PSL outfit, Karachi Kings all the very best and congratulated ARY news for successfully bidding for the team.
On 3 December 2015, the PCB unveiled the owners of five city-based franchises. The Karachi franchise was bought by ARY Media Group for US$ 26 Million for a ten years contract. This astronomical amount shelled out to buy Karachi Kings made it the most expensive team in the tournament. ARY Media, a subsidiary of the ARY Digital Network is a Dubai based company with its headquarters at Karachi.
The player’s auction is expected to be held on 21 and 22 December 2015. A 16-men squad of 11 Pakistani and 5 foreign players will be finalized.
PSL would be a three-week tournament scheduled for February 2016, and will feature five city teams namely Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta and Islamabad. A total of 24 matches are scheduled to be held between February 4 and 23. Each team will play a double round-robin format before playing an eliminator during the knockout stages.
