Watch: Virat Kohli wishes PV Sindhu for ensuring India's second medal
Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli, has sent his wishes to badminton player PV Sindhu for her semi-final performance as he made her way to the finals, where she will face the World No.1 Carolina Marin in the Rio Olympics 2016 final tonight.
The 21-year old created history as she became the first women athlete from India to reach the finals. On his Twitter handle, Kohli conveyed his wishes to Sindhu, congratulated her for the semi-final win and called her a “champion”. He also said that he hopes that she would be able to win at the finals and bring the first Gold for India in the Rio Olympics.
“Hi PV Sindhu, I want to congratulate you for guaranteeing India its first silver medal at (Rio) Olympics. You have made the country so so proud. Tomorrow (Friday) it is going to be an epic battle. It is going to be an epic clash,” he said.
“So, I wish you all the best, all the way from here in the West Indies. I hope you bring gold for the country but nonetheless whatever happens you are a champion. And I send you all the power and all the wishes. Good luck to you. Jai Hind,” Kohli concluded.

The Indian Test skipper, Virat Kohli is currently leading India in the fourth and final Test match against hosts West Indies, with India, having an inaccessible lead of 2-0 in the series. India have to win this Test to retain its No.1 ranking. A draw or Windies win will give Pakistan No.1 position. After this Test series, both the teams will fly over to Florida for a two-match T20 international series.
