Greg Blewett of Australia was the first victim. Australia were stuttering and staggering at 170 for 6 when Waqar Younis came to bowl. He bowl a low full toss that reverse swung and shattered the stumps of a bamboozled Blewett. Next up was Craig Mcdermott. Waqar was pumped up by that time and continued with his deadly reverse swing. Mcdermott was lucky to survive the very first delivery he faced. But the next one was a masterclass of a delivery. Though Waqar was sometimes overshadowed by his even more amazing counterpart Wasim Akram, it is not an exaggeration to say that he too has left a rich legacy for many aspiring fast bowlers to follow and he was in a league of his own.
