Watch: Yuvraj Singh and Irfan Pathan react to MS Dhoni biopic

MS Dhoni’s biopic is making all the news ever since the mega launch of its trailer. The movie promises to be a visual treat and the trailer has been breaking all the records of viewership. With the positive response coming in from all spheres of the entertainment industry, it was only a matter of time that Dhoni’s fellow players commented on his biopic and show their anticipation and excitement for it.

Star Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh was at a press event when he was asked about his reactions on the movie. Yuvraj Singh said he is very excited to watch the movie and is eagerly waiting to see how his character is being portrayed in the movie. It is a well-known fact that Yuvi and MS Dhoni share a great camaraderie but at the same time have had their bitter moments too.

Yuvraj was further asked whether he would like to see his biopic been made anytime soon. Yuvi’s response was quick as he said that his aim is to play cricket for India at the moment. But will definitely give it a thought once he retires from the game. When further asked who he would like to see in the lead role for his biopic, a light-hearted Yuvi said he isn’t a bad actor himself.

Yet another player who shares an interesting history with MS Dhoni is Irfan Pathan. There have been speculations about the differences between Pathan and Dhoni in the dressing room. The speculations surfaced the media when Pathan wasn’t given enough opportunities in the IPL under MS Dhoni’s leadership.

However, the kind of reaction Irfan gave to MS Dhoni’s biopic and the excitement that he showed, only clears the doubt that the differences were nothing but rumors. Irfan cited that the trailer was exceptional and the movie will surely be a big hit. “I really think it is going to be one of the best sports movies. So looking forward to it,” quoted Irfan.

When asked which other players can have their biopics on the big screen, Pathan took Yuvraj Singh’s name and also added the Pathan brothers to the list. He further added that if after MS Dhoni, any player deserves to have a biopic then it has to be Yuvraj. He also said he is excited to watch the movie on Sachin Tendulkar and believes it will be highly inspirational.

Lastly, Pathan signed off by saying he would like to see Ranbir Kapoor playing his role if a biopic on him is ever made.
