Yuvraj Singh, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, and Ashish Nehra have been a central part of the news in recent times. This central figure comes shortly after the selection committee convened to select a bevvy of experienced and inexperienced players in the India ‘A’ side to play England in the first and second practice ODIs.
Thus, it was the Brabourne Stadium that would witness this trio play together perhaps for the final time as well. While Yuvraj Singh and Ambati Rayudu batted with splendid batting acumen, it was the crowd that clamored for Dhoni.
However, despite all this, there was some solace in the fact that Yuvraj seriously has a cricketing future with the Indian cricket team for the next couple of years at the very least. This batting was there for all to see as he initially played a few dot balls before getting into the groove and playing his shots.
The illustrations were very well there for all to see as the southpaw blasted Adil Rashid down the ground for two consecutive sixes, something that has been something perhaps rolled back the years for someone who has been one of the best cricketers in recent times.
Even Mahendra Singh Dhoni showcased some impressive batting acumen as he smashed his way towards an impressive total. However, while this would be the last time we see Dhoni bat in such a manner, there is also a certain solace in the fact that the Brabourne Stadium witnessed him at the best of his finishing abilities as well.
