Yuvraj Singh recently launched his clothing line YWC fashion in a grand event which saw most of his friends from the sporting and entertainment industry mark their presence. He made sure that most of his close ones were present at the event.
However, the press persons sitting at the event sensed one important person missing – MS Dhoni. Both share a great rapport and the media persons decided to ask him about his absence from the event.
When asked Yuvraj to comment on Dhoni, Yuvraj said, “I think he’s [Dhoni] very busy and as usual, he doesn’t answer my phone calls… mera toh kya woh aapka (reporter’s) bhi phone nehi uthayega (He won’t even pick up your phone calls) He must have been busy with the T20s in America,” addressing the press on the sidelines of the launch, Yuvraj said.
MS Dhoni’s upcoming biopic MS Dhoni: The Untold Story has left many excited and waiting for its release. The release date of his biopic ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’ is approaching (September 30) and this will be for the first time a cricketer’s life will be portrayed on the big screen. Yuvi has been Dhoni’s teammate for a long time. So, it will be not hard to guess that there may be a considerable presence of his character in the team.
“I would like to see how MS Dhoni has shown me in the movie I am very excited to watch his film wish him all the best. And, let’s see what happens in the movie.”
Yuvraj Singh’s life has also been very eventful. The cricketer has experienced some really steep ups and downs in his life which makes many think that a similar biopic can also made many about his life. The cricketer also did not downplay the possibility completely.
On being asked whether a biopic on his life is a possibility, Yuvraj hinted that it may soon be a reality. “I haven’t thought about it, I want to represent my country again, that’s my motivation… But when cricket ends I can surely think about it.”
He further added that given an opportunity, he himself would like to play the lead. “Abhi decide nahi kiya hain…Waise toh actor main bhi badaa accha hoon.” (I haven’t decided yet but I am a decent enough actor myself).
Yuvraj launched his brand YWC fashion in association with designers Shantanu and Nikhil. The profit from the clothing line will go on to his cancer foundation YouWeCan (YWC), which the cricketer has been running to help cancer victims. Yuvraj, who himself fought the deadly disease and made an emphatic return to the cricket field, aims to help the patients with their treatment and education through his initiatives.
“I want people to motivate themselves. Because it’s easy to say ‘get motivated.’ But the inner strength has to come from every individual. So, get fitter, come back to your life, come back to where you belong that is the whole purpose of YouWeCan.”
