Royal Challengers Bangalore. A side that almost always flatters to deceive. Boasting of two of the greatest batsmen the game has ever seen, Royal Challengers Bangalore is a classic case of a glamorous body that is bereft of its soul. Time and again the red-army with their ‘E Sala Cup Namde’ slogan light up the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru, but apart from the flashes of brilliance, all they have got is a painful ordeal, especially since that miraculous-yet-heartbreaking 2016 edition where the Kohli-led franchise finished as runners-up.
But, that doesn’t dampen the fan base of the Royal Challengers Bangalore one bit. With the unrelenting desire to see their franchise do well and eventually lift that elusive trophy still burning bright, fans are at it again with all their strategies and recommendations for the Kohli-led franchise in the upcoming auctions.
Virat Kohli’s special message
And, now Virat Kohli has come up with a special video for all the RCB tragics where he thanked them for their continuous support while also reassuring them that all the bases will be covered on auction day.
“We’ve had a few discussions to build a team around, strong core that we already have and we assure you that we are going to cover all the bases that are required and build a very strong team to have a really good season in 2020,” Kohli said.
The RCB captain added, “So, as I said, get behind the team and your support has always been priceless for us and will be crucial forever and ever till we play the sport. So, thank you very much, and looking forward to the auction. Find out what’s going to happen on 19 December,” he said.

RCB fans will hope their franchise plugs the holes in the upcoming auction
RCB, who finished with a wooden spoon last season, made wholesale changes to not only their squad but also to their coaching staff. Former New Zealand coach Mike Hesson was appointed as Director Of Operations while Simon Katich, who has earlier coached Kolkata Knight Riders, as the head coach.
The franchise released a total of 12 players including Shimron Hetmyer, Henrich Klaassen, Colin de Grandhomme, Marcus Stoinis, Nathan Coulter-Nile and have 12 slots to fill with the remaining purse of Rs 27.9 Crore.
