'We can enjoy some ice creams now' - Yash Dhull reveals Indian players maintained strict diet throughout the U19 World Cup

The India Under 19 side made the entire nation proud by defeating England in the final of the ICC Under 19 World Cup to lift the title. This is the 5th time that India has won the tournament.

And, after this resounding triumph, the skipper of the India U19 side, Yash Dhull has stated that since the tournament is over, ice creams will reach the rooms of every player who is a part of the India U19 side.

Adding that all the players maintained a strict diet throughout the competition, the skipper said that it is time now for the team to enjoy some ice cream.

“The ice cream has reached the rooms of every player, we will have and enjoy ice creams now. We had to maintain a strict diet for this tournament so now we will enjoy some ice cream,” said Dhull after the match.

Yash Dhull also added that this resounding triumph is a proud moment for everybody involved with the India U19 side, and concluded by stating that the Indian side was able to achieve this feat as every player is mentally very strong.

“It is a proud moment for everyone, we had to struggle hard, but every player had a strong mindset. Everyone in this camp is mentally strong so that is why we were able to achieve this feat,” concluded Yash Dhull.

The India U19 bowlers first did a good job with the ball and restricted the England U19 side to a total of just 189. James Rew single-handedly stood up to the Indian bowlers and scored 95. Raj Bawa picked up a fifer for India.

Chasing a target of 190, the ‘Men in Blue’ crossed the finish line with 4 wickets and 14 balls to spare. Shaik Rasheed and Nishant Sindhu scored 50 each to ensure that the Yash Dhull led outfit went past the target without any hiccups. Raj Bawa emerged as the Player of the Match in the summit clash of the competition.
