The former Indian captain earned the ‘Captain Cool’ tag while he was leading the national team. He has also been at the helm at the Chennai Super Kings, since the inaugural season in 2008. CSK were among the luckier franchises to have found a player and skipper like MS Dhoni who has taken them to multiple title victories over the years. The fact has been acknowledged over the years and Imran Tahir a member of the current squad is also grateful to have Dhoni leading them.

Dhoni is a complete prolific cricketer, who can keep wickets, bat at any position for the team and is one of the best in terms of handling pressure. Needless to say, he’s one of the best captains the IPL has ever seen in its 12-year history. Ace leg-spinner Imran Tahir has attested that he feels the same about Dhoni and said that he loves playing under such a leader.

The veteran South Africa spinner played with Dhoni, first in Rising Pune Supergiant and then one season for the Super Kings with the second year running. After a long experience of playing alongside Dhoni, Tahir heaps praise the former Indian skipper.

Speaking of MS Dhoni and his captaincy, Tahir noted that they got a calm and composed skipper in the ranks to lead the side. He feels that the players are usually very calm under his captaincy without taking much pressure.

”We have got the coolest cricketer in the world leading us. And, under him, we are a very calm and a composed group. In a competitive league like Indian Premier League, getting a start like that is always nice. Hopefully, we can carry on like this in the upcoming games,” Imran Tahir said to CSK official website.

CSK have got off to defending champions like start in the IPL 2019. They won the first match against Royal Challengers Bangalore and then beat Delhi Capitals playing at their home ground in Chennai.
