We miss MS Dhoni a lot, no one sits on his last corner seat in team bus: Yuzvendra Chahal

Since MS Dhoni’s last international match in July last year, the speculations regarding his retirement from the sport are floating everywhere. While there have been some statements regarding his future like the one by team India’s head coach, Ravi Shastri, saying that his comeback in the T20 squad for the World Cup is still possible, if he has a great season of the Indian Premier League, things still remain unclear.

Adding fuel to this fire, in a recent video released by the BCCI, the leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal can be seen saying that the last corner seat of the team bus is reserved for Dhoni. The gloveman had last played in an international match, way back in July 2019, in which he hit a half-century a losing cause in the semi-final against New Zealand of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Since then Dhoni hasn’t been seen in Indian colors and his retirement plans are being discussed in the cricket community all around the globe.

In the latest episode of Chahal TV, a show hosted by Chahal, there was a revelation that no one would have expected. Chahal, in the last bit of the episode, went to the last corner seat of the bus and made a statement that would interest every cricket fan.

Chahal showed the seat where Dhoni used to sit and told that the seat remains vacant in the absence of the legend and no one occupies it, and added that the team misses him very much. He said, “Yeh woh seat hai jaha ek legend baithte they, Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni). Abhi bhi yaha koi nahi baithta. Hum unhe bohot miss kate hai.”

Dhoni’s future in the sport still remains unclear. But, for the fans, who just want to see him play, the time is not far when he will be stepping onto the field, leading the Chennai Super Kings, during the 2020 edition of IPL. And, adding to the joy, it has also been confirmed by the team owner, N Srinivasan that Dhoni will be playing the 2021 edition of the league. So, there is enough cricket left for Dhoni to be a part of. But, everyone would want to see him play in the Indian colors before he bids farewell to the game.
