Indian veteran batter Yuvraj Singh has lauded Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter, Jos Buttler, for his sporting antics during the previous game. To note, RR were taking on Gujarat Titans (GT) in a group stage match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on April 14 (Thursday). Even though the Royals lost the match, Buttler was praised a lot by the cricket fans for his heartwarming gesture.
Batting first, Gujarat skipper Hardik Pandya played an unbeaten knock of 87 off 52 balls with the help of eight fours and four sixes and he edged past Buttler for the race of Orange cap (most runs) during the knock. With Hardik becoming the leading run-scorer, Buttler was seen removing his Orange cap and tucking it behind his lower, during the 20th over of GT innings.
Other players should learn from him, specially teammates: Yuvraj Singh on Buttler
The video of that incident has grabbed a lot of attention from cricket fans and the veteran left-handed batter as well. “We still have gentleman in the game of cricket !!! @josbuttler other players should learn from him specially team mates !!! ” Yuvraj wrote on Twitter.

However, Buttler, after playing a scintillating knock of 54 in just 24 balls during the second innings, managed to become the leading run-scorer again. The right-handed batter stroked eight fours and three maximums in his innings. But that was not enough for the Royals to chase down the mammoth total.
Chasing 192, RR managed to score only 155 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Buttler (54 off 24 balls) was the main scorer for RR. However, the middle order failed to contribute much. Skipper Samson (11 off 11 balls), Ravichandran Ashwin (8 off 8 balls), and Rassie van der Dussen (6 off 10 balls) got out cheaply.
There was some resistance shown by West Indian batter Shimron Hetmyer (29 off 17 balls), and Riyan Parag (18 off 16 balls). However, that was not enough for RR. New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson was the pick of the bowlers, scalping three crucial wickets. Captain Pandya was adjudged player of the match for his performance with both bat and ball.
