We will go by what the Government and BCCI decides, says Virat Kohli on India-Pakistan World Cup clash
India will play their first T20I against Australia on Sunday.
India are all set to lock horns with Australia in the first of the two-match T20I series in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. The series though begins on a tensed note with the nation fuming over the Pulwama attack in Kashmir last week which led to the country losing 44 CRPF jawans. Ever since then, there have been increasing calls for boycotting the World Cup game against Pakistan and the Indian captain Virat Kohli has also opened up on the matter.
He expressed his disappointment over what happened in Pulwama on February 14 and cleared that the team stands by its nation and will do whatever the board and Government directs them to do. “Our sincere condolences to the families of CRPF soldiers who lost their lives in Pulwama Attack. We stand by what the nation wants to do and what the BCCI decides to do. We will go by what the govt & the Board decides, we will respect that,” Kohli said during the press conference ahead of the series opener.
