‘Welcome to our family my princess’ - Hasan Ali announces birth of his first child

Pakistan fast-bowler Hasan Ali, on Tuesday (April 6) announced the birth of his first child. In August 2019, the right-arm pacer had tied the knots with Indian national Samiya Arzoo. Hasan became the fourth Pakistani cricketer to get married to an Indian girl, after Zaheer Abbas, Mohsin Khan, and Shoaib Malik.

Samiya is from the Mewat district of Haryana. According to reports, she is a flight engineer with Emirates Airlines while her family members are settled in New Delhi. The couple is now all set to start a new journey in their lives as parents. Hasan, who is currently in South Africa with the Pakistan team, took to Twitter to announce the news.

The 26-year old announced that he and his wife have been blessed with a baby girl. Posting an adorable message for the newborn, the Pakistan star asked his fans and well-wishers to pray for his daughter as he tweeted:

“Allahumduillah! Allah has blessed us with the baby girl. Welcome to our family my princess. I wish this little angel Baby angel have wonderful dreams and May the almighty always be with her to fulfill her dreams on the walk of her life. Ameen, please remember in your dua”

Pakistan players congratulate Hasan Ali:

Soon after Hasan Ali announced the news of the birth of his daughter, the fans, as well as his teammates, flooded him with congratulatory messages. The likes of Shaheen Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, and Ahmed Shahzad were among the first few cricketers who congratulated Hasan. Pakistan women team’s captain Bismah Maroof also congratulated the pacer.

Meanwhile, Hasan would be hoping that his fortunes change on the cricket field too and he gets a chance to play the third and final ODI against South Africa. The fast bowler had to warm the bench in the first two games. Hasan has not played an ODI since the World Cup clash against India in June 2019. The ongoing ODI series is currently locked at 1-1.

Following the ODIs, both teams will play four T20Is. Pakistan will then fly to Zimbabwe for a three-match T20I series and two-match Test series.
