'Well done, Bhai' - Krunal Pandya running out of words for Hardik
Hardik's elder brother couldn't control his excitement and showered the Younger Pandya with love.
Hardik Pandya, the Indian all-rounder, made his Test debut back in 2017 against Sri Lanka and scored his maiden Test century in the same tour. Thereafter, he scored a gutsy 93 against South Africa at Newlands in Cape Town. However, his career in the longest format went into a slump as he failed to deliver with either of willow or leather, much to his disappointment.
In India’s ongoing five-match Test series against England, he flattered to deceive in the first two matches at Edgbaston and Lord’s respectively. Albeit he picked up three wickets at the Home of Cricket, the 24-year-old couldn’t quite step up with the bat. After India went 2-0 down in the series, he was greeted with brickbats from supporters as well as from a number of experts.
A proud elder brother
But he didn’t drop the gun and picked up his maiden five-wicket haul in Test cricket to shun the criticisms in the third Test at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. He was introduced by Virat Kohli in the 25th over and he removed Joe Root, the English captain in his very first delivery. He went from strength to strength and finished with jaw-dropping figures of 6-1-28-5.
England, on the other hand, were reduced to 128/8 in 32.5 overs after Alastair Cook and Keaton Jennings put on 54 for the first wicket. After the accomplishment, Krunal Pandya, Hardik’s elder brother couldn’t control his excitement and showered the Younger Pandya with love.
Krunal, who has played alongside Hardik for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, posted a video on Instagram where Hardik was seen acknowledging the audience while returning to the dressing room after India bowled the Brits out for 161 runs.
He captioned the video and wrote, “wickets!!! You keep getting better day by day and I keep running out of words to praise you day by day. Well done, Bhai!!! @hardikpandya93”.
