Team India take on world champions West Indies in the 2-match Twenty20 International series in Florida, United States of America. Both the teams have a set of experienced T20 players who are expected to light up the series and leave a lasting impression on the crowd that doesn’t often get to see the best quality of cricket.

While the Indian team under skipper MS Dhoni would want to close the tour against West Indies on a high after Virat Kohli’s men bagged the Test series 2-0; for the hosts return of the big T20 names in the likes of Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard and Sunil Narine to the unit will boost the morale of the side that has enjoyed the shortest format the most.

3.750 – India’s W/L ratio in T20Is in 2016, the second best for a team this year that has played more than seven T20I matches. New Zealand is at the top of the list with a W/L ratio of 4.000.

34.62 – Batting average of Indian top-order (1-3) since 2012 in T20Is, is the best among all the teams during this period. They have scored 3843 runs from 45 T20Is at an average of 34.62.

19.71 – India’s bowling average in T20Is in 2016, the second best among teams that have played more than eight T20Is this year. Only New Zealand has better bowling average than India during this period. Indian bowlers have taken 124 wickets from 19 T20I matches this year.

8-3 – West Indies’ win-loss record in their last 11 T20Is, since the start of 2015. During this period, they have lost a T20I match each against South Africa, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.

10 – India’s W/L ratio in T20Is in 2016 outside India, the highest among all teams outside home in T20Is in 2016. This is also the most for any team in a calendar year in T20Is among teams that have played more than five matches in a calendar year outside home.

15 – The number of T20I matches won by India in this year, the most by any team in a calendar year in T20Is. India have played 19 T20I matches and lost only four out of those 19 this year.

119.54 – The strike rate at which Chris Gayle has scored 159 runs against India from 4 T20Is, his lowest against a team against which he has faced more than 100 balls. He has faced 133 balls against India and scored 159 runs so far.

30 – MS Dhoni’s highest score this year in T20Is, his lowest in a calendar year in which he has played more than seven T20I matches. He scored 30 runs against New Zealand at Nagpur this year in the World T20.

112.63 – The strike rate at which West Indies’ middle-order batsmen (4-7) have scored 321 runs from six T20Is this year, the second lowest among Test nations. Sri Lanka is at the bottom of the list. Their batsmen have scored 828 runs with a strike rate of 111.14 from 13 T20Is this year.

2 – Chris Gayle needs to hit two more sixes in upcoming T20I series against Indian to become the first player who has hit 100 sixes in T20Is. He has hit 98 sixes from 50 T20Is so far.

4 – Rohit Sharma needs to hit four more sixes in T20Is to become the second Indian player to hit 50 sixes in T20Is. He has hit 46 sixes from 60 T20Is so far. Yuvraj Singh has hit 71 sixes for India from 55 T20Is, the most among all Indian batsmen.

1 – India needs to win just a T20I match to become the team with third most wins in T20Is. Team India has won 46 T20Is from 76 matches till day. New Zealand and Sri Lanka have also won 46 T20I matches. Only Pakistan (60) and South Africa (54) have won more than these three teams.

4 – Jasprit Bumrah needs to take four more wickets in the upcoming T20I series against West Indies to become the leading wicket-taker in T20Is in a calendar year. He has taken 24 wickets from 19 T20I matches so far this year. Only Dirk Nannes (27 in 2010) and Saeed Ajmal (25 in 2012) are ahead of him in that list.

3 – MS Dhoni needs to effect three stumpings to become the wicket-keeper with second most stumpings in T20Is. Dhoni has 21 stumpings so far from 71 T20I matches. Kamran Akmal and Mushfiqur Rahim are ahead of him in that list with 32 and 23 stumpings respectively.

1 – Dwayne Bravo needs to pick only one wicket to become the first West Indies bowler to take 50 wickets in T20Is. He has 49 wickets from 61 T20Is so far.

21 – Ravichandran Ashwin has taken 21 wickets so far in T20Is this year. If he picks five more wickets, he will become the spinner with most wickets in a calendar year in T20Is. Saeed Ajmal had taken 25 wickets from 16 T20Is in 2010 which is a record.
