West Indies vs India: Rohit Sharma lights up the day of two of his Jamaican fans
He was seen having some fun with the supporters.
Rohit Sharma has been a tad unlucky in Test cricket of late. The Mumbai batsman didn’t find a spot in either of the two Test matches in Antigua and Jamaica. India went in with an unchanged eleven for the second Test versus the West Indies at the Sabina Park. It meant that the 32-year-old Rohit had to keep warming the benches even as the netizens wanted him to make the lineup.
However, despite not getting to play, Rohit didn’t miss out on having some serious fun in his leisure time. During the second encounter, the batsman made the day of two of his ardent followers in Jamaica. The supporters were wearing the Indian limited-overs jersey with Rohit’s name on the back.
He pulled the loyal fans out from the crowd and was seen having a gala time with them. Rohit went and sat with them in the corner. Then the followers showed him some dance moves and Sharma enjoyed it throughout. Even the people around them were enjoying the moves of the Rohit fans.

India’s great start to the World Test Championship
India, led by Virat Kohli, made a thunderous start to the ICC World Test Championship, gaining 120 points courtesy of a 2-0 whitewash over the Caribbean team. On the fourth day of the last Test, the visiting team bowled Jason Holder and Co out for 210 runs in the second innings. It helped them secure a 257-run victory which was preceded by a 318-run triumph in the previous game.
It was also a memorable outing for captain Kohli, who surpassed MS Dhoni as India’s most successful Test skipper. The 30-year-old Virat now has 28 victories under his belt in only 48 matches. The Delhi-born cricketer also has the highest win percentage among the Indian Test skippers.
The win also featured in the list of India’s biggest away Test victory by runs. As far as Rohit is concerned, he will next be playing the three-match T20I series versus South Africa, which gets underway on Sunday, September 15. The series will also mark the beginning of India’s long campaign at home.
