There was a time when Virat Kohli was relied upon during the games and was a proven match-winner, but his recent form with the bat has raised concerns not just in the Indian camp, but everywhere around. The cricket world is worried about the batting legend, but amid all the positives and negatives, Kohli shared a motivational post on his social media.

Kohli has missed out on quite a few international games recently, and could not manage to make much impact on the tour of England so far. His recent play has sparked criticism and even raised questions over whether he would be selected for the Indian XI for the T20 World Cup in October. However, the former captain of India is optimistic and holding his head up.

On Saturday, Kohli posted a picture of himself on social media posing in front of wall art with white wings painted on it as it read: “What if I fall” and “Oh but my darling, what if you fly” and Kohli captioned the picture saying “Perspective.”

Even Kevin Pietersen commented on his post and wrote: “You go big guy! People can only dream about what you’ve done in cricket. And they’re some of the best players that have played the game (red heart)”.

Many from the cricketing fraternity backed Kohli

The Indian team is currently in England for a three-match ODI series. Kohli made a comeback in the XI for the second game at the Lord’s Cricket Ground after missing the first ODI due to a groin injury. In the second ODI, Kohli started off well but could manage to only 16 off 25.

The cricket community has supported the former India skipper throughout his difficult time. Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, spoke out in support of Kohli in a tweet, while Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has frequently stood for his predecessor and backed him in his lean patch.
