The Match 24 of IPL 2022 saw an entertaining contest between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans where the latter won the game by 37 runs riding on the back of Hardik Pandya’s brilliance. However, there was another moment in the game that bagged fans’ attention and it happened to be Jos Buttler’s decision to move to umpires while completing a fielding attempt near ropes.

Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh lauded Buttler for his sportsmanship but a part of Singh’s tweet didn’t go down well with fans where he added that ‘his teammates should learn from him’. Talking about the details of the moment, during the 12th over of GT’s innings, Hardik Pandya pulled Jimmy Neesham towards long-on where Buttler attempted to save a boundary.

However, the Englishman wasn’t sure of his efforts and signaled the umpires to check the action. After checking, it was found that Buttler’s hands touched the boundary, and fans were elated to see such honesty from the right-handed batter. But, a part of the tweet by Yuvraj Singh praising Buttler didn’t go well with the fans.

“We still have gentleman in the game of cricket! @Josbuttler other players should learn from him especially teammates!” tweeted Yuvraj Singh.

Here is how fans reacted to Yuvraj Singh’s tweet on Jos Buttler

Fans felt that the former all-rounder is taking a dig at Indian skipper Ravi Ashwin, who is also a part of the Royals’ squad. It is to be noted that Ashwin has always grabbed the limelight for a few debates in the world of cricket. Ashwin and Buttler especially do not have a fine past where the spinner had run the English cricketer out once for backing up too much in the IPL.

Talking of Buttler, he shined well with the bat for Royals in the last game while smashing 54 off 24 balls and his team looked like being on the front foot till the time he was there on the crease. However, after his dismissal, RR lacked firepower in their batting unit and lost the game by 37 runs.
