England Women have already won the three-match ODI series against India after winning the second match by five wickets. At the Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton, Heather Knight and Co romped home in a clinical manner after chasing down the target of 222 with 15 balls to spare.

Kate Cross picked up a fifer to rock the Indian batting after which Sophia Dunkley’s unbeaten 73 helped the Brits over the finishing line. As far as India are concerned, they put up a better show than the first ODI, but their efforts weren’t enough. In the third ODI, India will be looking to salvage some pride.

The game is scheduled to be played on Saturday, July 3 at the New Road in Worcester. Both teams are likely to give some of their benched players chances to show their skills. But bearing in mind their head-to-head numbers and England’s recent form, the home team looks favourite for a 3-0 whitewash.

England Women

The hosts may make a couple of changes. Fran Wilson is yet to get a game and she might come in place of Dunkley though the latter is in good form.

Sarah Glenn hasn’t picked up a wicket in the two ODIs she has played, and in her place, Mady Villiers, who has 11 T20I wickets, might get a chance. Tammy Beaumont and Natalie Sciver had a rough time with the bat last time and would want to make amends.

Sciver hasn’t done a lot with the ball as well as she has picked only one wicket. Cross and Ecclestone have six wickets each to their names. Veteran Katherine Brunt also went wicketless in the previous game.

Predicted XI

Lauren Winfield, Tammy Beaumont, Heather Knight (C), Natalie Sciver, Amy Jones (wk), Sophia Dunkley/Fran Wilson, Anya Shrubsole, Katherine Brunt, Sophie Ecclestone, Kate Cross, Sarah Glenn/Mady Villiers

Bench: Mady Villiers/Sarah Glenn, Emily Arlott, Freya Davies, Natasha Farrant, Fran Wilson/Sophia Gardens

India Women

India also may resort to a couple of changes in the final ODI. Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma are yet to fire on all cylinders. Jemimah Rodrigues got a chance in the previous match, but she couldn’t deliver.

Mithali Raj has been the only bright prospect for Team India with 131 runs at an average of 65.50. In the bowling department, Jhulan Goswami and Poonam Yadav have two wickets each.

Goswami is also their most economical bowler with an economy rate of four. Barring the duo, the others haven’t been able to contribute much. Deepti Sharma is yet to pick up a wicket in the 15.3 overs she has bowled.

Predicted XI

Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Mithali Raj (C), Harmanpreet Kaur, Deepti Sharma, Shikha Pandey, Sneh Rana/Radha Yadav, Taniya Bhatia (wk)/Indrani Roy, Jhulan Goswami, Poonam Yadav
