The second T20I between Pakistan and West Indies is set to take place on Saturday, July 31 at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. The opening match at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados was washed off due to rain. To begin with, the match had to be reduced to nine overs per side.
The hosts racked up 85 runs for the loss of five wickets after Kieron Pollard’s unbeaten nine-ball 22. He also smashed a six off Shaheen Shah Afridi over deep mid-wicket in the last ball of the Caribbean innings. Hasan Ali was the pick of the bowlers for the visiting team after he picked up two wickets.
The next game is a crucial one for both teams as the losing team will go into the last two matches in a must-win scenario. The average score at the venue is under 140 and a high-scoring game may not be on the cards. Moreover, there are chances of rain and a washout can’t completely be ruled out.
