RCB are having a stellar run in the IPL 2022 so far, having won five out of seven games and having jumped to the second position in the points table. Everything seems to be working well for them, right from the new skipper to better bowling tactics and better planning. In the same light of events, former Australia spinner Brad Hogg tweeted that RCB is becoming favourites quickly, having ticked all the boxes.

However, Hogg also mentioned that there is only one missing piece in RCB’s puzzle and that is Virat Kohli’s batting form. If Kohli starts hitting, the final piece of the puzzle will be in place. It is known for all the batting star is struggling big time at the international level for more than two years now. He has been devoid of a century since November 2019 and he is not even operating at his usual level.

“When Kohli hits his straps, @RCBTweets final piece of the puzzle will be in place. They are becoming the favourites very quickly. #IPL2022″ tweeted Hogg.

RCB won their last game against LSG by 18 runs

Even in RCB’s last game, the former Indian skipper had to walk back on a golden duck after Dushmantha Chameera trapped him. Even in the games that have followed so far, nothing substantial has come from Kohli’s bat with 48 being his highest score of the season. In the seven games of RCB, he has only managed 119 runs from his bat, averaging a meagre 19.83.

It remains to be seen if the batting star would be able to catch up with his rhythm in the upcoming games as RCB would be keen on grabbing a playoffs spot. They played their last game against LSG and turned up ferocious in all the departments of the game. After posting 181 runs on the board on the back of Du Plessis’ blitz (96 off 64), Josh Hazlewood wreaked havoc on LSG batters. He picked a four-for while conceding at 6.25 and Faf and his men won the game by 18 runs.
