MS Dhoni is known for his humorous and witty nature, and his relationship with sarcasm goes a long way back. Although the 40-year-old hasn’t been active on social media lately, there have been times when MSD has Twitter with his funny and witty jokes on the newly-appointed Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Ravindra Jadeja.

On Thursday, March 24, the Chennai Super Kings broke the news of Dhoni stepping down as the franchise’s skipper, and handing over the baton to the star all-rounder ‘Sir Jadeja’ from this season onwards. Jadeja is only the third captain, and just the second full-time captain, that CSK will witness. CSK has been led by Suresh Raina in 2010 and 2019, but he was the stand-in captain.

The duo shares a great bond both on and off the field, and Dhoni has been one of Jadeja’s biggest supporters. Jadeja also considers Dhoni as the greatest captain of all time, and he had admitted the same in a video shared by CSK on their social media.

Meanwhile, Jadeja was retained by CSK, and placed ahead of Dhoni for the highest amount, that being INR 16.00 CR. That decision sparked speculations all over about him being the successor to Dhoni for the captain’s position. This will be the first time in his career that Jadeja will be leading a team.

It has been seen that whenever Jadeja performs well for CSK, Dhoni’s old tweets resurface all over social media, proving that Dhoni was right all this time, just like what happens in the case of Jofra Archer now.

Let us have a look at the resurfaced tweets from MS Dhoni, for ‘Sir Ravindra Jadeja’

Dhoni is not really active on social media, but there was a time when he took Twitter by storm with his ‘Sir’ Ravindra Jadeja jokes. During the 2013 IPL, Dhoni was seen to be very active on Twitter when he shared his hilarious views on Jadeja as a player. His tweets kept pouring in every five to 10 minutes, and it seemed as if Dhoni had his ‘fan-boy’ moment!

CSK will be opening their IPL campaign by playing the first game of the tournament against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 26, 2022.
