Once it was announced that Jasprit Bumrah was getting married, the entire country went into speculation mode. While some speculated that it might be actress Anupama Parameswaran, many took the name of Sanjana Ganesan.

And now, it has been confirmed that the Indian speedster will tie the knot with Sanjana. It has also been revealed that the cricketer might get married in Goa on 14th March 2021. But back then, the hint about the marriage was already with Bumrah’s IPL team mate Suryakumar Yadav.

In fact, Sanjana Ganesan had travelled to the UAE last year as an anchor along with the Star Sports team. And, it was before the 2020 IPL season began in the UAE that Yadav cheekily asked her as to which team does she support in the IPL. However, Sanjana Ganesan was clever enough not to reveal too much, and diplomatically stated that she would support cricket. You can watch the exchange between Yadav and Sanjana below.

Suryakumar Yadav had an excellent run in the IPL last year

The 13th IPL edition turned out to be a hugely successful one for Bumrah as well as the Mumbai franchise. The Mumbai side literally proved to be unbeatable and went on to win the IPL for a staggering 5th time. And, Jasprit Bumrah led from the front with the ball for his side.

The pacer scalped 27 wickets and emerged as the highest wicket taker for the franchise. He also gave away runs at a miserly economy rate of just 6.73 runs per over and his strike rate too, was just 13.33 in the 13th IPL edition. As for Suryakumar Yadav, the right hander also had a fruitful run with the willow in the 2020 IPL edition as well.

Yadav plundered 480 runs in the tournament, and scored his runs at an average of 40.00 and an excellent strike rate of 145.01. Even in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy, the 30-year-old amassed 332 runs in just 5 innings at an average of 66.40 and a strike rate of 151.59. And, due to his excellent run with the bat, Yadav earned a maiden call up to the Indian T20I squad.
