Rohit Sharma feels proud to be a part of Mumbai Indians
Indian opener Rohit Sharma feels that playing like a family helped them in becoming one of the most successful teams in India’s biggest T20 league. He talked about the journey they had with Mumbai Indians at the ‘Reliance Deepawali Utsav’.
A video was shared by Mumbai Indians’ official Twitter handle in which Rohit is seen speaking about the atmosphere in the team and recites that Mumbai Indians is his family. He added that this feeling gives strength to each and every player in tough moments on the ground. It doesn’t matter if they win or lose but at the end of the day, they are a family.
“One thing which I have been hearing for the last hour here is the family, and this team here is all about that. You know we have played as a family, and that actually has been our strength. Whatever happens on the field, whether we lose or win, we’ll be as a family.” Rohit Sharma was seen speaking in the video.
He also wished everyone Happy Diwali on behalf of his wife, and daughter, “On behalf of myself, Ritika and Samaira, I would like to wish each one of you a great Diwali. And of course, my teammates as well. I’m sure you’ll have a great Diwali,” Indian cricketer added.
In the last IPL season, Rohit Sharma amassed 415 runs in 15 matches at an average of 28.92.
