Romario Shepherd’s T20 numbers in recent times

Sheperd’s overall numbers in the T20 format have been good with 53 wickets in 44 games at an average of 21.18 and is still is a player to be groomed for the future. The 27-year-old will fall into the category of bowling all-rounders which has been one of the most demanded commodities in IPL over the years and he will have the luxury of working with Sunrisers Hyderabad coaching setup which has developed a lot of Indian young seamers.

Shepherd was recently part of the T20I series against England and he was sent in as a pinch hitter at three in the final T20I. Although the move did not work as he was dismissed for just six runs, it certainly showed that all-rounder has been hitting it really well in the nets and can turn around games. He had a brilliant outing in the second T20I where he formed a useful partnership along Akeal Hossein for the ninth wicket.

Shepherd scored an unbeaten 44 in the innings in 28 balls with five sixes to his name and almost pulled off an unbelievable victory for his side. The franchises have been looking into players with match-winning abilities and he can fit into the role perfectly in this IPL.
