Preview:
West Indies will take on Sri Lanka in the third and final ODI match on Sunday. West Indies have already conquered the ODI series 2-0 with one match still left in the series. They have utilized the home conditions to the fullest and haven’t given any chance for the touring Sri Lankan side to have an upper-hand in the first 2 matches. After registering an 8 wickets victory in the first ODI, they had to put some extra effort in the second ODI to beat Sri Lanka in the final over of the game. Openers Shai Hope and Evin Lewis are in outstanding form and are likely to continue the same kind of form in the third ODI also.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka have had a disappointing tour of the West Indies. They lost the T20 series 2-1 before coming into this ODI series. After a humiliating defeat in the first ODI by 8 wickets, they fought really hard in the second ODI and took the game to the last over. Danushka Gunathilaka batted well in both games and he will be the man to watch out for Sri Lanka in the final game. With the series already done and dusted, they should be able to play with a bit more freedom now.
