WICB announce Board President's XI for the game against India
West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has announced the Board President’s XI team for the first two-day tour match against visiting team India which starts on July 9.
Guyana wicketkeeper-batsman Leon Johnson will lead the 12-member side which comprises of as many as six players who have played Test cricket in the last two years. The match is scheduled to commence on Saturday at Warner Park in St. Kitts.
Virat Kohli will lead the Indian team and will be assisted by the newly promoted vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane. This tour is the first tour after Anil Kumble has taken charge as the Indian head coach.
Team India will depart for the 49-day tour on Wednesday morning from Mumbai.
